The short version: We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Everything stays on your device.

Data Collection

metergeist does not collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. The app does not communicate with any external servers.

Device Permissions

The app requests the following device permissions, which are used solely for in-app functionality:

Camera

The camera is used to measure ambient light levels for exposure calculation and to capture reference photos. Camera data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted externally.

Microphone

The microphone is used to record optional voice notes attached to reference photos. Audio recordings are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted externally.

Photo Library (Save Only)

If you choose to export a photo, the app requests write-only access to save images to your Photo Library.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device:

• Reference photos are stored in the app's private document directory
• Film roll data (frame counts, camera associations, notes) is stored using iOS on-device database storage
• Camera collection (your saved cameras and nicknames) is stored on-device
• App settings (preferences, calibration) are stored in local device storage

No data is synced to iCloud, backed up to external servers, or shared with third parties.

Third-Party Services

metergeist does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools.

Children's Privacy

The app does not collect any data from any user, including children. It is suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Since the app collects no data, significant changes are unlikely.
